Weird news - Parents discovered a dead baby in daughter's bed

Making the bed of their children is one of the most normal activities, but you can be scared out of your wits if you find a dead baby while doing this simple task. And yet this is what happened to the parents of a 17 year old girl when they were making the bed of their daughter. They found a dead baby in the bed and called the police. The police found that the baby belonged to the daughter of the couple who was unaware that she was pregnant right till the time that she gave birth, and gave birth to a full term baby boy. Experts say that this has happened before, where a girl did not know that she was pregnant almost till the time that she gave birth and has happened before (link to article).
This is also a difficult scene for everyone involved, there is really no one at fault, given that the girl did not know what had happened to her and she would have been suffering a severe emotional turmoil. Experts say that in such a case, the young girl (or girls in different cases), the girls needs counselling and support.

During pregnancy, there are a number of changes that happen in a woman's body. Women who are pregnant can sometimes suffer from serious health problems, suffer changes in their pattern. Their entire pattern can change, and it is hard to believe that a lady can be pregnant and not be aware of it. However, this couple claims that they were surprised when they gave birth to a child; the lady apparently went to the hospital for some sort of treatment regarding stomach ache; further, all the increase in the stomach was supposed to be part of a gain in weight. A 17-year-old British student has given birth without even knowing she was pregnant.
Alexandra Staddon just thought she had "put on a bit of weight" and went to hospital complaining of suffering from stomach ache before giving birth to a baby boy, who she called Matthew, weighing 7lb 6oz.
She said: "I didn't have any idea I was pregnant. I didn't have symptoms. I just thought I had put on a bit of weight."

Woman delivers child in train, and child moves out through toilet

A lot of Indian trains have toilets where the toilet is connected through an open pipe, with the contents of the pipe dropping onto the tracks. This situation gives rise to some weird happenings.
Consider the following case. A woman, fully in term, gets onto a train with her husband, and then goes off to the toilet of the train when she starts getting some pain. She delivers while in the toilet, and the baby actually slips off into this tube and lands on the track. And this is where the maternal instincts kick in, since the woman jumps off the train, and onto the tracks.
Finally the train is stopped, and people go to find the woman and her child, from where they are taken to the hospital, and finally they are all in good health (link to article):

In a case that seems to be straight out of 'Ripley's Believe It or Not', a woman delivered a child inside a toilet of a moving train and the newborn slipped down the outlet into the tracks but miraculously escaped unhurt.
When the train stopped, the passengers walked back to the spot where Rinku and her child were lying, they said, adding both were brought back to the train. A medical team attended on them at the Purulia station, when the train reached around midnight.
The mother and baby were referred to the Purulia Sadar hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger, hospital superintendent Swapan Kumar said.

Pregnant man gives birth for second time

This is not a medical miracle the way you think about it. In this case, there was a woman, who got a sex change operation to become a man. The 'man' married (but obviously does not have the full set of equipment to become a natural father) and then became pregnant (not sure how he became pregnant, but could have done so through medical intervention) once last year and gave birth. The idea of a bearded man giving birth would have seemed strange to those who did not know the full details, and he has done so again, giving birth to a second child through natural childbirth (link to article):

LOS ANGELES: Thomas Beatie, the transgendered man who created history last year by giving birth to a baby girl, has done it again. ABC News reported that Beatie gave birth to a son early Tuesday in Bend, Oregon, and that the child would be nursed by his wife, Nancy.
ABC News quoted sources close to the couple as saying that it was a natural childbirth and not via Caesarean section. Beatie revealed last year that after giving birth to his first child he did not start again taking male hormones to allow him to get pregnant.

Woman about to be arrested fakes labour

When people are about to be caught for something they have been doing, or are in the process of being arrested, they will do anything to try to escape. Any excuse, any action, anything works. Police officers are pretty used to this excuse-making habit of people and in many cases have gotten immune; but, there is a basic decency in every person, and this lady tried to exploit this property in trying to escape being arrested:

A woman in America has discovered the hard way that faking going into labour doesn't help you escape arrest for shoplifting. The woman was arrested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, after police were called to a mall over a report of a woman stealing a keychain. They also found pain medication without a prescription in her purse, and so also arrested her on drug charges.
But while being arrested, the woman complained of birth pains and said she was going into labour. She was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

And this was the point where there was a lot of surprise involved; not only was the lady not going into labour, she was not even pregnant. The police did not take this kindly, and added the extra cost of the ambulance and hospital efforts onto her arrest charge. The judge is also less likely to be amused.

Pact to have underage pregnancies

Teenage pregnancies are something that are frowned upon by parents groups, by health officials, and by politicians of all stripes. In addition, the concept of a teenager getting pregnant stems from an unlawful act whereby having sex with a teenager is actually illegal. So, it was all the more worrisome for officials in the state of Massachusetts in the US when 17 teenage girls (all of them younger than 16 years) became pregnant. Now teenage pregnancies have happened before, but this figure was 4 times the previous year's figure for the school, and let officials to worry that this was all part of a pact:

There are reports that some of the girls - none of whom is older than 16 - entered into a pact to have their babies together. The girls and their families have so far made no comment. Officials are also investigating the ages of the fathers. Some are believed to be in their twenties and could face the possibility of being charged with having sex with minors.
"Some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," Gloucester High School principal Joseph Sullivan told Time magazine. Local officials say that nearly half of the girls had entered into a bizarre pact to have their babies together. Dr Elizabeth Guthrie, a paediatric psychiatrist at New York's Columbia University, told the BBC that some girls might be viewing pregnancy as a fast-track to adulthood and independence. "It may give you an opportunity for unconditional love and attention from the baby," she said.

Such a happening will really cause a lot of worries for health officials. How do you deal with such a situation; the girls are obviously not ready to have babies when they are so young.
