Weird news - Waitress catches hold of reptile's tail and throws it out

Most people are afraid of the lizards that we encounter in the vicinity of our houses, whether inside or outside. There is no real reason to since these are very small creatures, and if you take a step in their direction, they will typically run away since they realize the size mismatch pretty quickly. However, what happens when you come across lizards that are much longer, and there are plenty of such lizards to be found in the wild - some of them are large and others are much larger (the Komodo dragon comes to mind when you think about huge lizards, and it can be dangerous if you come across it and don't know the proper techniques of dealing with it).
So what happens when a large lizard walks into an Australian restaurant and to a table - you can expect a lot of yelling and screaming, and that is what happens. What you would not expect in most cases would be for somebody to gather their wits, drag the offending lizard by the tail and throw it out; but that is what a French waitress did, her presence of mind being incredible (link to article):
This plucky waitress is evidently not scared of trespassing lizards so big they are mistaken for dogs. 25-year-old French waitress Samia Lila has made international headlines after grabbing the huge reptile by the tail and swinging it out of the restaurant in New South Wales. She has since been dubbed "goanna girl" - the reptile is thought to be a goanna - and has been widely commended for her bravery.

Man with wings soars above the Alps

Man has always dreamed of flying through the air, akin to how birds fly. He did this first through hot air balloons, then through using small aircraft, and now this event. This is a man flying through the air, with wings on his back, and using the speed of a rocket engine to achieve upto 186 mph. Some other features:

# Yves Rossy is the world's first man to fly with jet fuel-powered wings
# He demonstrated his flight talent in Bex, Switzerland
# His jet turbines enabled him to achieve a speed of 186 mph
# He uses only his body to change position in the air

Girl, 8 years old, granted divorce

We all know of divorce rates increasing as people evaluate their marriages and determine their happiness or unhappiness levels. But the assumption is that marriages and divorces are matters handled between adults, not minors. It sounds shocking to know that minors could be involved with matters of marriage and divorce, and even more shocking that this could involve a 8 year old. In most countries, this would be treated as a very serious criminal offence:

A Yemeni judge dissolved the marriage of an 8-year-old girl to a man nearly four times her age, and the girl's lawyer said Wednesday that the court also ordered the youngster removed from the control of the father who forced her into the wedding. The lawyer, Shatha Ali Nasser, said the girl is just one of thousands of underaged girls who have been forced into marriages in this poor tribal country at the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula.
The girl said her father forced her to marry a 30-year-old man she identified as Faiz Ali Thamer. She charged that her husband constantly beat her and forced her to have sex. In issuing his ruling Tuesday, the judge said he was terminating the marriage because the girl "had not reached puberty." A provision in Yemeni law allows parents to sign marriage contracts for children younger than 15. However, the article states that a husband can only consummate the marriage when the wife reaches puberty.

Overall, this is a very shocking case. Marriages to underage children are allowed under Yemeni law, and there are no provisions to prosecute the husband in such cases. It is the girl who had the courage to fight for her own case, and it is all the more brave given that she is only 8 years old.
