Foetus falls on track, but safe

In an extremely weird incident, a pregnant mother was relieving herself in the toilet of a moving train when she lost consciousness and delivered her baby over there itself, 2 months early. The 7 month old foetus fell through the drain pipe and onto the track while the train passed over. It is only when the mother recovered consciousness that she realized that baby had been delivered; in the meantime the baby had been found by railway workers. Soon the 2 were re-united:

Call it good fortune or just the will of God. But the life in a seven-month-old foetus, that fell through the toilet bowl of a running train when the mother went to ease herself, still lives on! Call it a miracle, perhaps. This tiny bundle weighing just 1.4 kg, which slipped from the womb into the toilet tube and crash-landed on rocks between two steel tracks, is from the top drawer of survival tales.
The railwaymen wrapped the baby in a cloth and called the local doctor. While the child was being examined, a call came, saying the parents were traced. The mother could not believe her eyes when she was reunited with the baby two hours later at the Kalol Civil Hospital. And she just can't take her eyes off this baby ever since.

Pythom stalks family dog and eats it

Australia is famous for its dangerous animals, and this was proved in an example that you will read below. The python is a non-poisonous but dangerous snake that kills by squeezing its prey to death. In an attack hitting a family in Queensland state, a 16 foot scrub python stalked the pet dog of a family for days before attacking, killing and eating the pet dog in front of the horrified members of the family:

Stuart Douglas, owner of the Australian Venom Zoo in Kuranda, said scrub pythons typically eat wild animals such as wallabies, a smaller relative of the kangaroo, but sometimes turn to pets in urban areas. "It actively stalked the dog for a number of days," Douglas said.
"The family that owned the dog had actually seen it in the dog's bed, which was a sign it was out to get it," he added. The zoo manager, Todd Rose, said pythons squeeze their prey to death before swallowing it whole. The 5-year-old dog would have been suffocated within minutes.

Airline pilot fired for buzzing Washington airfield

A commercial jet is a very big craft, consuming a large amount of fuel per minute. At the same time, pilots have a sense of being all-powerful, and especially when they are not carrying passengers, are not averse to being adventurous. Well, a pilot had to pay for his sense of adventure when he did an unsolicited fly-by at a US airfield (a fly-by is when a pilot takes the plane very close over the runway without landing). The Chairman of the airline was on the plane at this time:

Cathay spokeswoman Carolyn Leung said the pilot was dismissed last week because he did not seek or obtain approval for the fly-by, which has been done several times before at air shows with the airline's permission.
Hong Kong's South China Morning Post newspaper reported Sunday that the airline's chairman, Christopher Pratt, was on the plane when the pilot, Capt. Ian Wilkinson, swooped back over the Boeing plant shortly after taking off.
